How to Play Daily Million, Info, Rules, Guides
Daily Million is Ireland's twice-daily 6/39 lottery game that comes with a €1 million top prize.
There are two draws each day, at 2pm and 9pm, and your overall odds of winning a prize are just 1 in 14 (when the Daily Million Plus option is added).
Tickets cost just €1 per line, or €1.50 if you wish to include Plus, and can be bought online or at your local Lottery Agent. Check out the How to Play guide for step-by-step instructions on how to get your tickets and be in with a chance of becoming the next Daily Million winner!
Two chances to win every day
That's right, there's not one, but two chances to win the €1 million Daily Million top prize every day, with draws held at 2pm and 9pm seven days a week. You can play in advance for up to seven draws when you buy your tickets online or instore. Just pick six numbers from 1 - 39 or opt for random numbers with a Quick Pick.
Get an extra chance to win for just 50c
For an additional 50c per line, your Daily Million numbers can be entered into the additional Daily Million Plus draw, where there's prizes ranging from a €2 Scratch Card for matching three numbers up to €500,000 for the top prize. What's more - it's possible to win prizes in both draws with one ticket!
Overall odds of winning a prize: 1 in 14
When you add Plus to your entry, your overall odds of winning a prize are an impressive 1 in 14. Without Plus added, the overall odds of winning a prize in the main draw are 1 in 28. The top prize odds are 1 in 3,262,623 for both draws, as it isn't possible to win the top prize in both games at the same time.
How to Play Daily Million
Find out how to play Daily Million here. Whether you're playing online or in-store at a Lottery Agent, follow these simple steps to enter Ireland's €1 million twice-daily game.
1. Pick your numbers
Either choose your own six numbers between 1 to 39, or select a Quick Pick to have a random set of numbers generated for you.
You can use the Daily Million random number generator to create multiple lines of numbers at the same time.
2. Optional: Select Daily Million Plus
Choose if you want to play the Daily Million Plus. This costs just 50c and gives you the chance to win an extra €500,000. If you do decide to play Plus, the words 'PLUS YES' will be printed above the numbers on your ticket.
3. Select which draw you want to enter
Daily Million (including Plus) draws take place twice a day at 2pm and 9pm, seven days a week.
When you purchase your tickets, you can decide to enter the next available draw, or both draws.
4. Optional: Utilise Advance Play
Decide whether you want to enter just one single draw, or multiple future draws. Daily Million Advance Play lets you enter up to 7 draws in advance. Your ticket will show you how many draws you’ve entered, and the dates for each draw.
5. Pay and you're ready to play
If you’re playing in-store, simply pay the cashier and receive your ticket(s). Each panel you play costs €1 (or €1.50 per panel with Daily Million Plus included).
When you purchase your tickets online, your account will be charged the required amount. You'll then be able to view the tickets in your account.
6. Check your numbers
Draws take place at 2pm and 9pm, with results available within an hour of each. Head over to the Daily Million results page for the latest numbers.
You can also use the Daily Million Checker which makes it easy to check multiple tickets at the same time.
How does Daily Million Plus Work?
The game matrix and format for Daily Million Plus is the same as the main Daily Million game, you must match a minimum of three numbers to win a prize.
Your original Daily Million numbers are also played in the Plus game, with a new set of six numbers and a Bonus Ball being drawn from a machine containing 39 balls.
As Daily Million Plus is not a standalone game, it is not possible to play it without playing the main Daily Million game.
When purchasing your entries, you will have the option to add 'Plus' to your ticket. For each line of numbers that you play, adding Plus costs an extra 50 cent. Your ticket, when confirmed, will say "PLUS - YES" or "PLUS - NO" depending on whether you opted in or not.
Daily Million Odds and Prizes
There are seven different prize tiers available in Daily Million, ranging from Match 3 to Match 6 and overall odds of 1 in 28.
When you opt-in to Daily Million Plus, you instantly get double the chances of winning (a second set of winning numbers are drawn) and your overall odds of picking up a prize improve to 1 in 14. Take a look at the prizes available below and the odds of winning in each:

How to Claim Irish Lottery Winnings
Claiming Winnings Online
Claiming a prize online is quick and easy. As your entries are stored in your lottery account, you will be automatically notified of any wins.
In the event that you win a larger prize, you will be contacted by the National Lottery to arrange the verification of your ticket and the subsequent payment of your prize. This is one of the many benefits of playing online, as it's not possible to lose or damage your ticket(s). Take a look at the different thresholds for prize payments:
Prizes up to €99: Winnings are paid directly into your online lottery account.
Prizes between €100 and €500: You will receive a cheque from the National Lottery to the address you provided when creating your account.
Prizes between €501 and €9,000: Premier Lotteries Ireland (PLI) will contact you using the details from your online account to confirm various details (such as your age and identity) with you. Once your details have been verified, a Prize Claim Form will be sent to you, which you will need to complete and return before your cheque is issued.
Prizes over €10,000: To claim prizes of €10,000 or more, you will need to visit the National Lottery headquarters in Dublin. At your appointment, your age and identity will be verified before you are issued the cheque for your winnings.
Claiming at Lottery Agents (Retail Players)
When you play instore, it is your responsibility to sign the back of your tickets to ensure that only you can claim any prizes won. As tickets are bearer instruments, any winnings can be claimed by the person who presents the winning ticket, so it's important that you sign the back.
The prize amounts that can be claimed at Lottery Agents differ to those for online players. Find out how to claim a prize from a physical ticket below.
Prizes up to and including €100: You can claim these winnings from any National Lottery Agent. At the retailer's discretion, they may pay prizes above €100 up to €2,500, however they are not required to do so.
Prizes up to €15,000: There are two ways to claim your winnings if they are below €15,000. The safest option is to visit a lottery Prize Claim Centre, where your payout is guaranteed.
The second option is to post your signed ticket to The National Lottery, Abbey Street Lower, Dublin 1†. Claiming by post is at your own risk. You must also provide your name and address when posting your ticket, and it is possible that Photo ID verification may be required as part of your claim.
Prizes of €15,000 and above: You can only claim winnings over this amount from the National Lottery headquarters in Dublin. Remember - you must sign the back of your ticket before making your claim. To claim, you should contact the National Lottery as soon as possible on 1800 666 222 (available Monday-Friday from 9:15am - 5:30pm).
