The Irish have dominated the EuroJackpot winnings in some way lately. The person who won SEK 300 million in July 2017 made Ireland a total of 11 winners throughout the year. The country also has the biggest winner in the history of EuroJackpot, Dolores McNamara, who won SEK 1.2 billion in 2005. Maybe the Irish should spread some of this magic to other countries too? On February 2, 2018, it happened again, it was the Independent Village Shop in Malahide, Dublin that sold the winning lot and received SEK 250,000. The lucky winner has never been official but won just over SEK 400 million.


In 2015, a Czech player won SEK 930 million

EuroJackpot lotteries began selling in the Czech Republic in 2014, when the highest jackpot of 17.3 million Czech korunas was. But on May 15, 2015, the record was broken by a winner who won the entire SEK 920 million. Thanks to the Czech Republic's 0 %% tax on lottery winnings, the winner was allowed to retain the entire prize. The winning numbers on this lot were 12, 14, 18, 38 and 46 with 9 and 10 as bonus numbers.

Once again Ireland, in January 2017 a player won SEK 900 million. This time it was not a lone person who won but a group called "The Dublin Workers Syndicate". Syndicate is becoming increasingly popular at EuroJackpot, as the number of groups is increasing, the lottery is also growing. The first EuroJackpot win was won by a group from Ruhr in Germany in May 2012, winning a total of SEK 200 million. In 2014, a group of colleagues at a production facility in Akaa, Finland won approximately 600, approximately SEK 60 million per person. The largest gain of a syndicate was SEK 6.8 million in 2012 by a group of 3 people. The winners are still anonymous as they wanted to continue working despite the huge profits.
